AI Governance Specialist (For independent contractors)

The role of the AI Governance Specialist shall support the definition, implementation and adoption of the Enterprise AI Governance framework at Booking.com.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the internal Technical Product Manager to help define the AI Governance framework.

- Assist in establishing the AI Governance maturity assessment framework, execute it organization-wide, gather insights, analyze findings, and identify actionable areas for improvement.

- Establish, execute, and foster the adoption of key AI Governance capabilities, including AI Quality, AI Observability, and Responsible and Ethical AI Usage.

- Develop related documentation, covering requirements specifications, end-user guides, and reporting or dashboarding assets.

Experience:

- Technical background in AI/ML engineering or AI Governance

- Domain expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI systems

- Proven track record of designing, implementing, adopting and maturity assessment of AI Governance frameworks within complex organisations

- Hands-on experience with commercial AI Observability and AI Quality platforms

- Preferred prior experience driving EU AI Act compliance and adoption

- Ability to analyse and produce documentation

- Good communication skills, ability to influence technical and business stakeholders
