Banking Administration Lead (For independent contractors)
As Banking Administration Lead you are responsible to drive the adequate governance of all the Booking.com KYC, signatory and bank mandates resulting as a consequence of the company’s global footprint and equally widespread banking operations in a plethora of complex and challenging jurisdictions. You are responsible to manage internal and external stakeholders, contribute to policy drafting and implementation for the Banking Administration function, design and draft new processes ,process notes and identify opportunities for the business to streamline and consolidate its current bank administration procedures in line with the designed (SoX) controls. You work closely together with your colleagues driving the global banking strategy.
You will be part of the Treasury team and work closely together with dedicated banking and insurance specialists. You will be able to demonstrate flawless teamwork, coordination, and relationship management skills, with tenacity and drive for successful projects. Objectives vary between a number of KYC, regulatory, legal, Risk, AML, Compliance and FinCrime landscapes (Regulatory, Legal, Risk & Control, Financial Crime) working effectively with experts and stakeholders in each area. It involves managing repositories of documentation, requiring a high level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure efficient tracking and storage. The role also serves as a key support function, providing administrative and documentation support to the wider treasury team. This requires effective collaboration with experts and stakeholders across regulatory, legal, risk & control, and financial crime landscapes to ensure alignment and smooth execution of objectives.
You will act as a trusted lead who thrives in a global environment that encourages excellence, demands integrity, cultivates trust and promotes and grows the Banking Administration function in the Center of Excellence for all KYC, Compliance, legal representative appointments and global regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate has strong banking ops/administration understanding and experience in a widespread region (our footprint is in over 70 countries for over 100 legal entities domiciled around the world). Strong stakeholder management in a very diverse setting (banking partners across the globe, external legal or other such vendors, internal functions such as legal, compliance, tax, leadership teams and their business partners spread around the world) is key for the candidate to be effective.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Adept with functional and process documentation mapping out the different participants’ role to establish a structured administration process.
Develop strong partnership with key stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Tax and LT Business Partners to ensure timely bank mandate updates of all our entities and bank accounts
Build and own the process with legal covering (a) communication flow from legal for signatory changes i.e. directors addition/removal and (b) legal documentation including entity constitution docs along with personnel docs as prescribed by the applicable in country regulations
Build processes, guidelines and governance and identify areas of strengthening current processes while capturing KYC and signatory update for new Treasury verticals absorbed by the team
Process improvement by leveraging automation and technologies and as well as providing mentoring and coaching to team members and peers as required.
Establish centralized bank mandate and KYC update process with key relationship banks
Own and adhere to the relevant Business Controls
Manage the process with all the banks globally to ensure the audit requests are processed timely including scaling of the automated request route (where banks support confirmation.com)
Support with the ongoing general audit queries including advising on efficient practices for timely collection of confirmations and act as escalating point in resolving any bank service delivery failures
Managing and developing growing compliant processes within the Banking Administration team which cover but are not limited to signatory management, periodical KYC and audit support.
Further, as primary process owner for Banking administration, the role acts as lead banking admin business partner with key internal stakeholders as well as banks and possess strong structured communication skills both written and verbal.
Drive the development and evolution of the company's global banking capabilities, by identifying & deploying suitable bank mandate and KYC systematic efficiencies for filing, archiving and automating requirements and procedures across the globe in an effort to maintain a central treasury repository
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of seniority.
Create, maintain and cultivate core-banking relationships, balancing optimal financial value with service delivery from a documentation and KYC perspective
Identify areas of improvement and influence stakeholders in the implementation of new processes or modification of current processes
Promote, train and advise internal stakeholders in the best practices from a data sharing, data collection, documentation management and renewal across the relevant jurisdictions
Apply deeply KYC, (enhanced) due diligence, financial crime and stakeholder management
Requirements of special knowledge / skills
Ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment, requiring communicating and liaising across multiple functional teams (Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Risk & Control, FP&A, External Counsel, FinCrime)
Drive process improvements creating and implementing operational processes, including system consolidations and improvements.
Ability to utilize information from regulatory changes, new regulations, and internal policy changes to further identify new key risk areas and work together with internal departments to set the necessary controls in place
Strong competence in understanding legal transactional requirements and business requirements to be able to overlay varying implications in effort to determine optimum solutions.

Educational background or extensive work experience in Finance or Business Economics;
