Business Operations Manager (For independent contractors)
The Business Operations Manager supports the VP Data, Insights and AI and his team on leading the Data & AI track groups in the Marketplace Business Function on anything that is required by them to run the business, including core activities of its leadership team.
The role requires a candidate that is a strong strategic advisor (‘chief of staff’), who can connect the dots, and tackle strategic/tactical projects while improving and running the operations (e.g., planning and reporting, business rhythm).
This person should be Data savvy and have a solid understanding of ‘Data’ product development.
The Business Operations Manager drives processes and implements structure to ensure goal achievement and to help the department’s Leadership in making effective decisions.
They are responsible for coordinating the execution of the day-to-day operations of a business (organization, department, area, function) to ensure that it runs effectively and efficiently.
They also design and implement an effective rhythm of business both within the department and cross departments to achieve the shared objectives and mitigate key dependencies.
The Business Operations Manager will partner with the different teams in the Department to ensure the right tracking of the key initiatives deliverables and KPIs within the departments.
Also they will drive the adoption of Company wide processes within their department (eg. Quarter Operational Reviews, Strategic Portfolio Management tracking, Planning and Budget, etc).
The Business Operations Manager acts as a support for all the yearly planning activities, as well as the execution of the planned activities after budget submission.
They will also make sure that the key dependencies between departments as results of the yearly planning will be correctly identified and properly followed up.
This role may also own the strategy related to the key business topics - defining the problem, creating output using data-driven analytics, and delivering recommendations to senior stakeholders. This may include program management activities to coordinate, manage and deliver diverse complex business critical initiatives or lead on high scale and impact changes or transformations
