At Booking.com, as a Case Manager (internally called “Reintegration Advisor) you will work in a team of specialist that is dedicated to ensuring seamless coordination and support of long term and/or complex sickness absence cases.



A Reintegration Advisor will individually handle between 50 and 60 sickness cases, acting as the single point of contact for manager, HRA and employee. They are responsible to ensure both the company, and the employee, are compliant with both the Dutch Gatekeeper Act and the company's internal policies.



They are the single point of contact to the external Arbo services (e.g. Company Doctor, mediator, etc). Next to compliance with the Dutch Gatekeeper act, the Reintegration Advisor ensures employees and managers get optimal support in order to shorten the amount of time before sustainable reintegration, by providing them advise, instructions and status-updates. The role proactively identifies areas for improvement with regard to managing sickness and actively advises the company when there are opportunities for interventions and or to improve our policies and processes around sickness management.




REQUIREMENTS OF SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS



  • At least 1 year experience of working as a full-time Case Manager/Reintegration Advisor, or


  • At least 3 years of HR Operations/HR Advisory experience with Case Management experience;


  • Extensive knowledge (and experience) of the Dutch Gatekeeper act (Wet Verbetering Poortwachter);


  • Experience working with Arbo Companies, company doctors, UWV and relevant 3rd parties, such as mediators, or 2nd track companies


  • Highly organized self-starter, with the ability to structure work and effectively drive adherence to the applicable calendar/action plan from all stakeholders


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (to deal with sensitive, personal cases)


  • Fluent in English; both written and verbal


  • Ability to effectively manage expectations and escalate to relevant stakeholders when applicable




NOT REQUIRED, BUT A PLUS:


  • Fluent in Dutch; both written and verbal


  • Completed the “Regie op Verzuim” Dutch Case Management education program or similar


  • Registered Case Manager at the RSC, RNVC (or other Dutch Branch authority)


  • Experience in a multinational or organization with diverse cultural backgrounds




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • For assigned cases, manage end-to-end sickness absence process portfolio, while connecting with, and managing, the relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance and progress of reintegration.


  • Manage all mandatory information, tasks and responsibilities to both the employee and the manager during a sickness absence case in accordance with the Gatekeeper Act and internal policies. This includes, but is not limited to;



-  Informing employee and manager about roles and responsibilities



-  Supporting employee and manager with creating Plan of Approach



-  Ensuring meticulous administration of sickness absence cases to create a strong case file



-  Ensure compliance with the NL social security institution



-  Explore and create opportunities for a quicker return to work, stimulating all relevant parties



-  Ensure tasks such as the Problem Statement are completed in a timely manner, leveraging external resources such as Company Doctor, mediators or workability specialists
