Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day to day tax accounting activities

  • Review and approve VAT/GST filings across multiple jurisdictions

  • Sign off on the quality and integrity of the relevant areas of the balance sheet

  • Be responsible for the timely delivery and the integrity of the internal and/or external financial reporting

  • Guide the team in handling and solving complex bottlenecks and issues, for all matters impacting accounting

  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders within Finance and the business unit

  • Work closely with external tax advisors on compliance matters and tax authority enquires

  • Support and provide oversight to the accounting team with the monthly closing process and take ownership for their performance

  • Manage a team of people and drive operations, engagement and development within the team

  • Ensure adherence to compliance requirements including Sox, tax, statutory audits are met to fullest satisfaction

  • Identify, develop and make improvements to processes and procedures



Requirements:


  • Bachelor Degree and/or Specialized Certifi cation, such as ACA/ACCA

  • Experience in Finance and/or accounting preferably within a Big4 environment and/or multinational corporate environment

  • Experience with indirect tax compliance processes

  • Sound knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and SOx

  • Experience managing teams, coaching, and providing training on the job

  • Enthusiasm about developing and leading people

  • High levels of personal effectiveness, particularly communication, organization and the ability to focus on achieving project deadlines

  • Enthusiasm to work in a fast paced, highly diverse, continuous developing and informal high achieving environment

  • Proven ability and the credibility to persuade and infl uence in effecting changes within an organization

  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management

  • Enthusiastic, proactive and driven

  • Fluent in spoken and written English

  • Strong IT experience in fi nancial systems, including SAP, is preferable
