opportunity overview
An experienced photographer, you can work independently to coordinate all aspects of the assignment. You must also be based in San Diego (US) - Booking.com does not compensate for travel. Booking.com has a specific visual style that reflects our brand. It is authentic, open, friendly, and helpful. We stick to a warm color pallet and natural light, capture moments, and set realistic expectations.
When shooting for Booking.com, the most important thing is to capture the district you are photographing from a human perspective. We strive to show our travellers the viewpoint they will experience at a particular location.
We endeavour to set realistic expectations for our travellers instead of presenting them with overly polished or contrived moments they are unlikely to encounter.
the project
During the assignment you will travel through San Diego (US), capturing its unique personality as if you were the traveler. You will be given a short list of locations so that you can capture the variety of different places San Diego (US) has to offer.
Your images will show the diversity of these locations by capturing varying times of day, the people and the vibrancy; all to realistically represent a traveler's journey. For each location we will require a hero image that clearly shows the subject and also a collection of supporting, narrative images that highlight different viewpoints, interiors and other interesting aspects.
You will be asked to focus on the following aspects:
City (if applicable)
Beach (if applicable)
Nature Relaxation (if applicable)
Districts (if applicable)
Landmarks (if applicable)
Dining (if applicable)
*We will share a more detailed brief with the chosen photographer.
**We will schedule an online kick-off session via Zoom before the actual shooting.
