Data Governance Technical Product Manager (For Independent contractors)

Our department mission is to radically accelerate innovation across all data, analytics & Machine Learning teams by providing a self-service, end-to-end platform, enabling the creation of connected, and repeatable, machine learning and analytics solutions. In the team you would join - ‘Data Analytics Engineering’, we envision and set product direction for Data Analytics and investments powering the world’s largest online accommodation reservations website.
The Data and Machine Learning department (DMLP) is on a mission to radically accelerate innovation across all data, analytics & machine learning teams by providing a self-service, end-to-end data platform. We’re on a way to roll out a company wide Data Governance, Data Stewardship program, and a Data Catalog using Collibra products. The Data Management Tools team will provide a Collibra-based service, which would enable management of Data Stewards organization, global Data Domain structure, Data Glossary and Data Asset library. Integrated with internal DMLP services, it needs to become a part of the holistic ecosystem by implementing Collibra workflows and configuration to provide seamless user journeys for all kinds of the data platform users.

Identify platform opportunities and establish a strategy and roadmap to make the vision a reality.
Support Product Managers in translating customer insights, company direction, industry developments into teams’ long- and short-term priorities.
Work closely with key stakeholders to understand user needs with data, identify gaps in our offerings and develop product requirements.
Because your opinion is data-driven, you will define key business and success metrics, track them, and improve upon them.
Benchmark our platform infrastructure against industry standards and competitors for cost, innovation, and operational excellence.
Drive the customer experience, continually raising the bar on quality, functionality, and usability.
Working on consolidating physical source meta-data via tools like Collibra EDGE
Create and maintain producer / consumer / data steward workflows
Create and maintain data domain and data asset workflows
Configure new functionalities in Collibra
Research new Collibra capabilities to be deployed.
Develop new Data Catalog capabilities
Develop Collibra dashboards and reports
Develop 3rd party integrations with Collibra
Administration of the service
Preparing documentation
Preparing and conducting trainings
Customer support and operations
Who you are
As a Senior Data Product Manager in EDM, you are a technical subject-matter expert that bridges the various corners of the Data Management engineering world to shape the direction of our Data Governance platform, alongside your team. You enjoy leveraging an understanding of Data Governance projects actively developed at B.com and the ongoing industry developments to ensure the right technology investments are being made within the platform. Your knowledge of Data Management together with the Booking community.

Your experience
Ideal candidates will have some combination of the following:
4+ years of product management experience
Experience in the data domain and platform product management
Experience with public Data Cloud offerings (AWS and GCP)
A proven track-record of developing products that are powered by data
Good knowledge of data science / analytics techniques
Experience running A/B tests (or exposure to A/B testing concepts)
Experience making data-driven decisions
Experience with web analytics software such as Google Analytics is a plus
Previous involvement with high traffic (50,000+ visitors per day), preferably E-commerce sites is a plus
Experience working with Collibra or other equivalent vendor is a plus
Experience with stakeholder management (finance, budgeting, team management, recruitment, external customers).
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.
