The Data Manager supports the implementation of processes for how data is consumed and produced by Salesforce products, including governance, architecture, and quality, in order to meet evolving DPE objectives and technology landscapes.



The jobholder works with DPE team members to create and support implementation of the data strategy for meeting specific business objectives. As a core member of a marketing technology team, supports solution development on Snowflake(BDX) and Salesforce in order to ensure the data requirements of business objectives are met with compliance, high quality, extensibility, and commercial success.




Key Responsibilities.



Core Data


  • Own the implementation of efficient data ingestion solutions, batch processing, and event-based streams to enable highly personalized and segmented, real time partner communication


  • Set-up process and guidelines for DPE stakeholders to request, ingest and consume high quality data on Salesforce


  • Connect datasets from different systems like BDX, Mulesoft and more into a unified solution to deliver high-value data on Salesforce Data Cloud


  • Work with data engineers by providing them guidance on business architecture of DPE data needs.


Monitoring and Data Quality


  • Monitor relevant SLIS and SLOs to support ownership of data solutions end-to-end


  • Support the definition of quality requirements for data assets, based on standards for all data quality dimensions, to ensure design of high-quality data solutions


  • Develop data validation solutions for validating values and schemas and use them to ensure data accuracy and reliability


  • Implement solutions for monitoring, failure detection, and data availability and use them to ensure data timeliness and completeness


  • Ensure data timeliness based on business requirements by driving strategy and implementation of monitoring and failure detection


  • Responsible for data management related Data Governance processes as defined in the Data Governance Framework (E.g. monitoring of data quality, management of data lineage, and maintenance of logical data model).


DPE General


  • Performance / impact: Lead consultation and support efforts for team members within Digital Partner Experience to identify data driven automation.


  • Backlog Management: Manage and prioritize the area’s backlogs of projects and requests based on their business impact and the impact on the partners, ensuring timely delivery and efficient allocation of budget and resources.


  • Project Management: Lead complex projects, ensuring alignment with stakeholder goals and partner needs while managing technical implications and barriers. This involves fostering collaboration and alignment across teams, communicating outcomes and learnings to stakeholders, and validating, monitoring project results to drive continuous improvement.


  • Drive Innovation: Innovate across our technical support ecosystem by identifying automation opportunities and leading scalable initiatives to enhance time efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and partner experience. This includes developing new features and solutions aimed at optimizing partner performance and satisfaction.


  • Collaboration: Effectively achieve your impact drivers within the scope of responsibility by fostering enhanced stakeholder collaboration. This involves actively engaging with and gaining the support of key stakeholders, including Digital Channels, Partner performance marketing, Data Engineering, and product teams ensuring their alignment with performance indicators and goals to drive meaningful outcomes.


  • Analytics: Measure and monitor the performance of marketing technology applications and databases within their scope for quality assurance purposes.


  • Authority: Be seen as an authority in your craft by sharing knowledge and insights, thereby making your impact visible and positioning oneself as an expert within the business. This involves guiding, consulting, educating, and supporting team members within and outside the department.





Knowledge and skills.



  • Independence in operating with limited guidance in a complex environment


  • Expertise and experience in data analysis, data management, and data quality


  • Knowledge of data modeling methods (Relational, Dimensional)


  • Preferable - knowledge of salesforce customer 360 data model


  • Advanced knowledge of one or more database querying languages or scripting tools, e.g. SQL, Pandas, R, dbt, snowplow


  • Intermediate knowledge of data quality requirements and implementation methodologies


  • Intermediate knowledge of Data Management requirements based on best practices, e.g. DAMA-DMBOK
