Data Scientist II takes full ownership of the design and delivery of data science solutions, from ideation to implementation. They work independently on tasks like data consumption, preparation, and the translation of business problems into data stories.

What will the DS own & deliver:

  • Data mastery: Consume diverse sources, craft clean datasets, and tell compelling data stories that answer high-stakes questions.

  • Experimental rigor: Design A/B and quasi-experiments, apply causal-inference frameworks (e.g., DID, propensity scoring, synthetic controls), and translate results into confident decisions.

  • Statistical firepower: Deploy classical and modern techniques—regression, Bayesian methods, time-series, ML/AI—always selecting the right tool for the signal.

  • Stakeholder partnership: Identify the right voices, communicate insights in plain language, and drive alignment across product, engineering, and leadership.

  • Technical amplification: Mentor juniors, champion best practices in code quality, reproducibility, and scalability, and spot opportunities to introduce new methodologies.

What makes the DS a fit:

  • Fluency in SQL (or equivalent) and at least one analytical language (Python/R). Your queries are fast, traceable, and production-ready.

  • Proven track record applying advanced statistics and causal-inference techniques to real-world product or business problems.

  • Clear, concise storytelling skills—charts, memos, or slide decks—tailored to executive or peer audiences.

Master’s degree (or higher) in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
