We are looking for an experienced Developer with strong SAP FICO knowledge to join our SAP Finance technology team. This is a hands-on technical role focused on designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP Finance solutions across core accounting, controlling, reporting, reconciliations, and financial close processes.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in ABAP development along with a solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance processes and integrations. The role involves building scalable and clean SAP solutions, driving automation of finance operations, improving system efficiencies, and collaborating closely with Finance, Product, and Engineering stakeholders.

You will play a key role in modernizing ERP finance capabilities through custom development, APIs, workflows, Fiori applications, integrations, and process automation aligned with clean-core principles.

The candidate must be an AI Developer to join our SAP FI team to build and maintain our automation pipeline. This is a technical, hands-on role. The role is responsible for defining and guiding clean core and cloud ready architectures using SAP BTP, CAP or ABAP Cloud and AI. Your work will involve delivering rapid Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) and enterprise-grade solutions that leverage AI, BPA, and Modern ABAP, Fiori to eliminate manual financial processes.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong development background in SAP CAP or RAP, CDS and Fiori/UI5.

  • Deep understanding of clean core extensibility concepts.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP AI Core and SAP AI Launchpad.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite, SAP Build (BPA ), and SAP Build work zone.

  • API Development: Create and expose custom OData services in S/4HANA and consume them within BTP applications.

  • Design and Build: Develop complex, multi-step automations using SAP Build Process Automation (BPA).

  • Create RPA bots that handle repetitive FI tasks (e.g., clearing open items, tax reporting) and integrate them with human-in-the-loop approval forms.

  • Use Business Rules Capability within BPA to automate financial decision-making (e.g., credit limit approvals or discount logic).

  • Develop using ABAP Cloud and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).

  • Strong technical understanding of S/4HANA Finance (ACDOCA table, AP/AR/GL processes, and Fiori apps).

  • Deliver high-quality code using ABAP 7.4/7.5+ syntax and strict Object-Oriented (OOPS) design patterns.


Preferred Candidates:

  • Experience integrating AI into enterprise applications using CAP, event-driven patterns and BTP services.

  • Deep hands-on expertise in IAS/IPS and XSUAA identity management.

  • Experience with LLM frameworks (MCP Servers/Clients, LangChain, etc).

  • Experience with SAP Event Mesh, Workflow Management or Process Automation.

  • Understanding of cloud-native concepts (Kubernetes, Kyma, containers).

  • Knowledge of S/4HANA data models and released APIs.

The payrate for independent contractors is 10-38 EUR/hr.
