The Role


In this role you are part of a dynamic and fast-paced team reporting to the Senior FP&A Manager of the Ground Transport business unit which aims to support travelers in getting from A to B via ground transportation (such as Airport Transfers, Public Transport and Ride Hailing).


The key purpose of this role is to support FP&A activities for the Rides department, putting you at the heart of our budgeting and forecasting process, day to day trading and having the opportunity to influence the bottom line results through value adding analysis.


You will make full use of your commercial acumen, embracing a data-led approach to recognise trading trends and their drivers to produce recommendations on our key performance levers. You will provide actionable insight to support business decision making and planning, acting as a business partner to the Rides team and the wider business.


Due to the rapidly evolving travel market and recent industry disruptions, as well as the past history of rapid growth of our business in the last 2 decades, the tasks and duties of this role will evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and challenge yourself to take on additional projects and responsibilities as they present themselves




Your responsibilities


  • Extracting, transforming and presenting data into easily understandable information for stakeholders


  • Support in maintaining key reports, metrics and workflows running within their scope, including where relevant highlighting data integrity issues


  • Understanding and analysing trading and business performance, providing information and insight into past, current and potential future trading activities


  • Conducting variance analysis that highlights the risk and opportunities to improve business performance by adding context, conclusions and recommendations


  • Collaborate with other business units to understand key trends affecting business performance


  • Supporting the quarterly forecasting and budget process for an end to end P&L, helping to develop the process to make it truly agile and fit for a growing business


  • Oversee the Rebates process, this includes models and trackers creation and maintenance. Month end reconciliations and validations in SAP and with commercial stakeholders


  • Support on ad-hoc commercially focused projects, providing relevant insights, reporting and financial impact information



Your skills and experience


  • Studying towards (or completed) a professional qualification (eg ACCA, CIMA...etc);


  • Good knowledge of Excel and/or Google suite;


  • SAP Knowledge for Month End reconciliations;


  • Analytical mindset and a strong desire to aid data-driven decision making;


  • Excellent communication skills;


  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload;


  • Dedication to learning and keen to progress;


  • Strong commercial acumen and curiosity;


  • Sees the headlines with attention on the details;


  • Strong team-working skills with ability to work independently;


  • Confident presenting findings in an effective, structured and actionable way to a wide set of audiences with varying levels of understanding
