The Manager Global HR Operations contributes to a positive employee experience for all Booking employees, by effective coaching, people and work management (through layers) within the Global HR Operations Teams. First responsibility is to ensure that our Global HR Operations run smoothly from an operational and people perspective. On top of this, the role is responsible to co-create, participate in the development of the global HR Service Delivery model, test, develop and implement best practices for HR Operations, together with other teams in HR delivery, like Payroll and HR Product, HR Advisory, and COE’s like compensation & Benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Manages a global team of Team Leads HR Ops, and indirectly a large group of (65-70) employees, to ensure that the Global HR Operations activities are conducted effectively and ethically and comply with the organization's policies and standards as well as relevant regulations and laws.
Ensures the development of individuals within the organization. Coaches and directs people to allow them to achieve both organizational and individual objectives.
Serve as a member of the HR Delivery Senior Management team providing guidance and direction to the broader function globally.
Operates as a key strategic partner in the People department, using both HR and Business acumen to ensure that Booking.com delivers against it's strategic objectives.
Align and coordinate with the Global HR sub-departments & other HR Teams.
Align with other Senior managers in the People Department to assure congruent HR processes and procedures as well as sharing knowledge and best practices.
Agree upon and deliver against agreed services, SLA's and KPI's, report on status and progress.
Work in partnership with the peer group to ensure that COE teams create and deliver products/tools/services that deliver against business strategy as well as the People Roadmap.
Drive various global HR Operations oriented HR initiatives, projects and procedures including implementation and communication.
As project member represent HR Operations in global HR initiatives, projects and procedures.
Operations
Monitor the status of Global HR Operations activities and adapt procedures, organizational structure or identify areas for improvement related to operational processes, tooling and the overall performance of the team.
Monitor data and analytics to calibrate approach or modify strategy as needed and create reporting.
Play a pivotal role in the communication towards all stakeholders, mainly in the People Department.
Ensure a good level of communication to employees and managers via bulletin boards, online libraries and other regular media.
Act as the front person / ambassador of HR Ops, representing the team to all stakeholders to create awareness and cooperation.

Requirements of special knowledge/skills
Bachelor's Degree required in Human Resources Management or related field. Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred.
Fluent in English
At least 8 years relevant working experience within HR in a dynamic company with broad knowledge and experience in human resources management
Knowledge on HR Operations, Operations Management, Payroll and HR systems is preferred
Excellent management and leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills, including, influencing, coaching and mentoring.
Expert in delivering large scale organisational change programmes and/or people roadmaps.
Ability to work cross functionally and partner with different stakeholders to impact business decisions.
Ability to drive and own large change programmes with a strategic mindset.
