Within a technical team ensuring the highest standard of in-house payroll services by managing and maintaining relationships with Payroll NL team members, Payroll NL Manager, internal stakeholders (e.g. Finance, HR & Legal) and third parties (e.g. tax office, pension provider) to ensure accurate, compliant and timely processed payroll within a global and dynamic environment.



Key Responsibilities


  • Be responsible for, and contribute in, the maintenance and preparation of in-house payroll for all functions, including senior management, based in The Netherlands.


  • Initiate, plan, execute and check the payroll process with accurate, timely and consistent results


  • Perform data validations on payroll output/reports and resolve discrepancies within tight deadlines.


  • Understand Dutch taxation and social security calculations of employer paid benefits and compensations


  • Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations, journal and accrual reports;


  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed


  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and Sox requirements;


  • Support Finance teams with month-end close and reporting activities;


  • Support various internal and external audits;


  • Support ongoing People/payroll projects;


  • Manage relationships with various third parties such as tax office, pension provider, debt collectors



Level of Education:


  • Specialized Diploma

  • Bachelor degree



Requirements of special knowledge/skills


  • Dutch Wage tax/Social Security regulation and labor law


  • Praktijk Diploma Loonadministratie (PDL)


  • English + Dutch language


  • Up-to-date knowledge on wage tax, pension, social security and other employment laws/regulations (labor law)


  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral in English


  • Ability to manage fast paced environment


  • Ability to take ownership of parts in the payroll processes


  • Problem solving mindset, positive and constructive attitude


  • Ability to multitask


  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail


  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to multitask


  • Ability to work effectively as an individual and as a team member


  • An advanced level of Excel knowledge


  • Experience with SAP is an advantage
