Job Description: Job Summary

The Learning Product Systems Senior Specialist is an expert in the learning HR product area, accountable for the requirements gathering, solution design, coordination of the configuration and deployment with other system teams or third parties, and the implementation and adoption of the solution. The Learning Product Systems Senior Specialist works closely with functional SMEs and Process Owners to understand business operations, analyze technology issues and identify improvement opportunities, which then are translated into technology solution designs based on tooling and market best practices.



Job responsibilities:

  • Assessment of the digital capabilities of the current learning technology stack.

  • Defining a strategy to discern ‘What Good Looks Like’ from a stakeholder and business value add perspective. Scan the latest technology trends in the given HR product area and share these (proactively) with the functional owners.

  • Good understanding of all Learning technology best of breed solutions

  • End to end ownership of product development from requirements gathering to implementation and adoption

  • Independently Implement new features &  managing changes in existing products

  • Ensure alignment and sign off on tech changes by stakeholders (incl BAS, Projects, Change Requests)

  • Focus on Mid to High Complexity people system implementations

  • Working on technology implementation projects with impact to the People Functions, IT Service, Finance, etc.

  • Ensure the IT infrastructure is compliant with GDPR legislation, IT Security standards and IT Architectural design principles.

  • Work with the Senior Product Systems Manager and People Systems Architects to ensure solutions are flawlessly integrated into People Systems and technology landscape and roadmaps and overall Booking.com ERP architecture and roadmaps/plans.

  • Work closely together with functional owners and People Systems teams (System Architecture, Application Management and Integration) to ensure maximum value delivery through solution adoption and continuous improvement activities




Level of Education:

  • Bachelor degree

  • Master degree




Requirements of special knowledge/skills

  • Very strong functional knowledge (strategy, process, best practices) of their respective COE area.

  • Solid HR Tech product knowledge.

  • Good understanding of Tech requirements, ways of working and standards.

  • Good project- and stakeholder management skills.

  • English fluent.

  • Senior Specialists Technology Solutions need to have a solid understanding of business processes and strategy in their respective area. From a technology perspective, they need to have a deep product knowledge of the People systems and technologies that they own.

  • Proven track record in taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast paced environment

  • Good understanding of basic system engineering, information and risk guidelines and system architecture standards

  • Solid understanding of the HR Sub functional area: strategy, processes, best practices.:

  • Good working knowledge of WorkDay and other HR Cloud Solutions

  • Understanding of today’s IT methodologies agile, waterfall, design thinking, process mapping, project management,

  • Good understanding of IT landscape in functional area

  • Working knowledge on API’s, Architecture, SaaS, Paas and DaaS.

  • Curious, self driving, inspirational, business driven and costs conscious
