PROGRAM MANAGER, GLOBAL JIRA TOOLING ROLLOUT



The Program Manager is responsible for the governance and end-to-end management of multiple workstreams in the global rollout of Jira tooling and processes across Booking.com. This role leads the program dedicated to standardizing planning processes and implementing Jira use cases organization-wide.



The Program Manager partners with teams across departments to support and enable effective collaboration with business units and centralized functions. They drive project scoping, assist in the creation of business cases, identify key requirements with cross-functional groups and external vendors, and ensure consistent management of functional workloads. The Program Manager fosters engagement and drives governance for decision-making related to Jira adoption and tooling.




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



  • Leading high-complexity, strategic, globally impactful initiatives for the rollout of Jira tooling, from scoping and execution through to analysis, recommendation, and implementation.



  • Defining, initiating, and managing each program phase with minimal supervision, including articulating business objectives, scope, requirements, and success criteria for Jira-related initiatives.



  • Developing comprehensive planning documents and roadmaps for global teams, and establishing robust dependency management and risk mitigation for Jira adoption.



  • Continuously tracking and reporting the progress of all global rollout streams, proactively highlighting risks and issues to governance groups and stakeholders.



  • Enabling teams and leaders to make informed decisions and supporting prioritization efforts to accelerate Jira adoption.



  • Collaborating effectively with and managing senior stakeholders (up to VP level), ensuring alignment and engagement throughout the global rollout.



  • Identifying opportunities to maximize the value of Jira for internal customers, partners, and the business, and translating these opportunities into actionable business cases.



  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to drive action plans that improve the impact, experience, and efficiency of Jira tooling for all users globally.



  • Partnering with business units, corporate, and functional leadership to ensure appropriate resource allocation within headcount and budget are directed to key Jira rollout initiatives.



  • Championing best practices in project and program management with a focus on enterprise-scale Jira implementation.



  • Supporting the annual budget and planning cycle related to Jira tooling, driving key rollout workstreams, and collating strategy inputs for senior leadership.



  • Managing and developing direct reports as a people manager, fostering a high-performance delivery culture.




REQUIREMENTS:


  • Proven experience in planning and managing large-scale enterprise rollouts with Jira Cloud, including process standardization and tooling adoption in a complex, global environment.
