We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Project Manager with extensive experience in physical security systems, particularly Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS) such as Lenel OnGuard and Nedap AEOS. The primary focus of this role is to lead and manage the full lifecycle of physical security projects, from initiation, design, and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure.
The ideal candidate must be fluent in both Dutch and English and possess a proven track record of successfully delivering complex physical security projects. A significant advantage is your extensive experience with Nedap AEOS, which has equipped you with a comprehensive, end-to-end understanding of its software and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead, plan, design, execute, and deliver physical security projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Develop comprehensive project plans utilizing Jira Software, encompassing scope definition, objectives, key deliverables, project timelines, resource allocation, and meticulous budget management.
Manage stakeholder expectations, providing regular project updates and reports to senior management and other relevant parties.
Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors/suppliers for the flawless execution of projects.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
This role requires global travel to project locations. Additionally, you will be expected to visit our international offices at least once during the project lifecycle.
Focus specifically on projects involving the design, implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of Electronic Access Control systems, primarily Lenel OnGuard and Nedap AEOS.
Additional responsibilities during these projects include, but are not limited to, video surveillance systems, intruder detection, intercom, and other physical security technologies as required.
Act as a subject-matter expert for physical security systems, particularly Lenel OnGuard and Nedap AEOS, offering support and knowledge sharing.
Foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment within the team.
Assist in evaluating the progress and development of new team members.
To effectively support the business and projects, a continuous awareness of the latest equipment and standards in the physical security market is a key responsibility of this role. This includes brands like, but not limited to; Lenel, Milestone, Nedap, AEOS, HID, STID, Bosch, Axis, ATS, Honeywell, Boon Edam, Gallagher, Gunnebo
Project Documentation and Compliance Expertise
Mandatory Deliverables & Auditing: Maintain exceptional proficiency in compiling a complete and auditable project file, including signed scope definitions, detailed meeting minutes (focusing on decisions affecting our standards), and formal project closure reports.
Conduct post-project evaluations and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements to drive continuous improvement.
System Documentation Handoff: Systematically ensure all final documentation—including As-Built drawings, component lists, software licenses, warranties, and maintenance manuals—is accurately assembled and formally handed over to Operations/Facilities teams to guarantee long-term system maintainability.
Compliance & Traceability: Document the specific steps taken to ensure 100% adherence to Group Corporate Security standards for every project. This expertise includes capturing any variances or exceptions and securing the necessary formal approvals from the Manager Group Corporate Security Systems.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 5–8 years of proven experience as a Project Manager, with at least 5 years focused specifically on physical security system projects.
Demonstrable, in-depth technical knowledge and project experience with Electronic Access Control Systems. Specifically Lenel OnGuard and Nedap AEOS (configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and administration).
Strong understanding of physical security principles, technologies (including VSS, intrusion detection systems), and best practices.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents such as blueprints and schematics (including floor plans and wiring diagrams). Must be able to create detailed security design documents that meet the established standards.
Excellent command of both Dutch and English languages (written and verbal communication skills).
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in project management software and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Jira Cloud).
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of corporate networks and IT naming conventions is required, with a preference for experience with cloud solutions.
Ability to travel globally.
Possesses a strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
Ability to manage confidential and highly sensitive information with the highest levels of discretion and professionalism.
If you are a successful candidate, you are required to be in the office a minimum of three days per week for the first couple of months to ensure successful integration into the Corporate Security team. After this initial period, the minimum requirement will be two days per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
Relevant physical security certifications (e.g., ASIS PSP, CPP).
Vendor-specific certifications for Lenel OnGuard and/or Nedap AEOS (strong pro). Similar for Milestone Video Surveillance Software.
Experience with integrating various security systems (e.g., EACS with VMS or PSIM).
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Field engineer experience (strong pro).
Requirements of special knowledge/skills
Familiarity with project/change management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
A good understanding of how people go through the change curve and the change process
Good Problem solving and root cause identification skills
Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts is an advantage
With supervision, ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to drive decision making
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships (both within a team and with wider stakeholders)
Ability to work effectively and influence up to Senior Managers
Effectively communicate in 1:1 and small groups; Strong influencer in 1:1

Knowledge of similar industries and/or business projects is an advantage.
PMP or Agile Project Management or equivalent certification is preferred.
