About the Role


At the heart of our People (HR and Payroll) operations, this role plays a critical part in embedding strong risk management, governance, and compliance practices within our global HR processes. You'll be the go-to specialist for ensuring that our People policies, procedures, and operational activities are compliant, well-controlled, and aligned with regulatory and organisational requirements.



As part of the first line of defence, you will work closely with HR, Payroll, Legal, Finance, and Risk teams to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks - while improving process efficiency and supporting our business objectives.



This global role focuses on HR and payroll business processes, ensuring they meet internal control standards (such as SOX), comply with applicable legislation, and operate in line with best practice governance and compliance principles.



We'll Trust You To:


1. Embed risk awareness and compliance within People processes across HR and Payroll.


2. Monitor key business controls for SOX, data privacy, labour law, and internal policy compliance.


3. Identify process and control gaps and collaborate with stakeholders on effective mitigations.


4. Support control owners with clear guidance and testing to enable consistent execution.


5. Review and refine key operational processes, including hiring, onboarding, payroll execution, benefits administration, and offboarding.


6. Partner with global and regional HR/Payroll teams to ensure alignment with local regulatory requirements.


7. Drive process maturity and control effectiveness through data-informed assessments and targeted improvement initiatives.



What We're Looking For


1. Bachelor's or Master's in Business Administration, HR Management, Risk Management, or related field.


2. Professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA) are a plus.


3. Strong understanding of global HR and payroll operations, employment regulations, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR).


4. Ability to translate operational risks into business impacts and practical solutions.


5. Proactive and independent, capable of building strong cross-functional relationships.


6. Skilled at navigating a dynamic environment and influencing at multiple levels of the organisation.
