Salesforce consultant (For independent contractors)
As a SalesForce Senior Application Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing new Salesforce features across the commercial organization, as well as leading the organization through migrations from legacy systems. You will actively drive product strategy by understanding user needs and working closely with developers, finance, marketing, and various product teams. Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Collaborates with stakeholders and leadership to gather business requirements and document system design proposals, ensuring that technical solutions align with commercial needs.
Process Automation: Implements Salesforce features using Process Builders and Flows, in alignment with automation goals, to deliver a seamless and efficient end-to-end user experience.
Core Administration: Performs system administration (user management, validation rules, page layouts, and mobile setup) according to internal security policies to maintain platform health and accessibility.
Adoption & Support: Provides training and direct user assistance to the commercial organization to drive platform adoption and ensure high user satisfaction.
Insights & Data Quality: Creates and maintains complex reports and dashboards, while monitoring Salesforce data quality, to provide the business with accurate, actionable insights.
Stakeholder Networking: Networks across operational, managerial, and strategic levels within the department to ensure cross-functional alignment on product updates and strategy.
System Migration & Integration: Works on the migration from systems and manages integrations with other Salesforce orgs, following architectural best practices, to ensure automated downstream processes and data consistency.
Knowledge and Skills
Education & Experience: Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years of advanced job knowledge.
Certifications: Must be a Certified Salesforce Administrator and a Certified Salesforce Advanced Administrator.
Technical Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with the Salesforce.com platform. You must possess a strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, relational databases, data mapping (source to target), and data integration tools.
Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development practices, tools, and frameworks is highly preferred.
Must have proven ability to design and implement new processes that facilitate user adoption.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to articulate complex technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills are required.
