Senior Change Manager (Data Operating Model)

We are seeking a Senior Change Manager to drive adoption of our new Data Operating Model. We need a pragmatic, experienced change manager who can hit the ground running to provide immediate structure to the Data Operating Model rollout. You will support our CDO and Data leadership to embed the defined way of working around data in our day-to-day.

Core Program Drivers

Our Data Operating Model intends to:

  • Drive the shift to a partly centralized governance (hub and spoke model) for our Data & AI and Data Engineering crafts, incl. activation of a Data Circle to enable alignment across organizational efforts.

  • Drive the adoption of an enterprise mindset (e.g., when building data products), prioritizing collective business value over local optimization

  • Key enablers include: Clear roles and decision rights, Investment in required resources, enforced Governance standards, Governance tooling, certification of data products and development of the craft

Key Responsibilities

  • Design change strategy and end-to-end change roadmap for Data OpModel - focused on embedding the new way-of-working and enterprise mindset needed to make this successful.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to VP/SVP-level leadership. Provide candid feedback on organizational readiness and proactively manage the "patience gap" as the central hub is strengthened.

  • Quickly understand audience and impact and identifies KPIs and metrics to track the success of change strategy and plan.

  • Apply Agile principles to the change process itself, ensuring structure is provided without creating bureaucratic bottlenecks.

  • Translate complex data governance, metadata, and architectural shifts into simple, compelling narratives that "win hearts and minds" across the global engineering community.

  • Partner end‑to‑end with initiative sponsors/owners to influence implementation strategy beyond the change workstream (e.g., operating model, process/tooling integration) and remove blockers to adoption.

  • The program is part of a wider Operating Model program, the change manager needs to work closely with Operating Model workstream lead, Data & AI Leadership and Program Change & comms managers to ensure consistency

Requirements

  • 10+ years of change management experience, specifically leading large-scale organizational transformations and global portfolio-level change.

  • Works iteratively, applies Agile ways-of-working to increase speed and adaptability.

  • Comfortable using data/insights to track adoption KPIs and drive executive decision-making.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a track record of influencing SVP/VP-level stakeholders and facilitating challenging groups.

  • Solid understanding of data operating models, data engineering crafts, and the evolving GenAI landscape.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record in large-scale Data or AI-driven organizational transformations.
