Senior HR Business Partner (For independent contractors)
An individual contributor partnering with leaders in the People. The Sr HRBP partners with VP and Senior Director and Director level business leader, mainly in Amsterdam HQ. The role is responsible for the People strategy in the client group, managing global initiatives into the region/function and partnering with the central People teams to ensure that products/tools/services are fit for purpose. Preferably someone with organisational design or transformational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the business and ensure that colleagues receive a consistent and value add experience with People led initiatives.
Provide strategic advice to the business unit/function on HR topics, these could be global initiatives such as Reward, Diversity etc or specific topics relevant to the business, for example union representation, work council or local legislation.
Work in partnership with the peer group to ensure that COE teams create and deliver products/tools/services that deliver against business strategy as well as the People Roadmap
To advise, coach and guide leadership teams on how best to ensure they have the right talent in the right roles doing the right work.
Be an escalation point for HR Business Partners within their function/region, making decisions on behalf of the HR Director in line with company HR policies.
Accountable for working within organizational design principles and leading change initiatives with regards to structure design and development, reorganizations and/or M&A activity.
Responsible for ensuring that senior hires are recruited against defined competency frameworks, holding the business leader to account, so that new hires/promotions/internal moves are aligned, fair and transparent whilst ensuring we bring in the right talent into the right roles.
A key strategic partner of the business, using both HR and Business acumen to ensure that Booking.com delivers against its strategic objectives.
Requirements of special knowledge/skills:
Excellent communication skills, including, influencing, coaching and mentoring.
An expert in HR process and policy that is relevant to the function/region they are operating in.
Expert in delivering large scale organizational change programmes and/or people roadmaps. A thorough understanding of managing talent lifecycles and resourcing plans.
Ability to work cross functionally and partner with multiple business areas to impact business decisions.
Ability to drive and own large change programmes. Strategic mindset, with the ability to work commercially.
Strong finance knowledge, specifically P&L, budgeting and Financial Planning.
Master’s degree
Minimum 8-12 years relevant experience
