We are seeking a commercially-minded Senior Legal Counsel for a contingent placement to provide legal support for high-stakes procurement initiatives in the marketing space. You will be responsible for the end-to-end drafting, negotiation, and risk-assessment of a high volume of commercial agreements—mainly focusing on marketing services in line with our procurement templates and playbooks. The ideal candidate is able to onboard and work independently quickly, acts as a proactive partner to our Procurement and Market teams, ensuring that our contractual frameworks are scalable, efficient, and fully aligned with our risk appetite.



Key Responsibilities



  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Draft, negotiate, and finalize high-value commercial agreements;



  • Liaise with SMEs across our Legal & Public Affairs department;



  • Ensure the activities, policies, business practices and transactions comply with all relevant laws and regulations;



  • Serve as a business partner to the business unit, helping it deliver on its strategic priorities and grow the business in a sustainable way


  • Analyze precedents/case law as well as proposed/existing laws and regulations that may impact the specific department/business unit and its growth - work on implementing any requirements coming from such regulations



  • Manage External Counsel where needed and constantly look for opportunities to improve ways of working/process/controls (e.g. contract management matters)




Requirements of special knowledge/skills


  • Master degree in Law


  • 5+ years experience in negotiating international commercial deals/contracts, within a similar position



  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience in working within an international, multicultural environment



  • The ability to effectively and proactively provide sound legal advice, exercise good business judgment



  • The ability to work with senior management in order to implement policies and processes on a cross-functional basis



  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead a commercial contract from inception to closure, including navigating strategic contracts through the company to obtain input and approval, including from senior management as applicable and appropriately escalating legal and business matters;



  • A confident self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills



  • Openness and flexibility to thrive in a fast paced environment
