Senior Payroll Specialist (For contingent workers)
Job Summary
The Senior Payroll and International Benefits Specialist is a key member of the Payroll Operations, responsible for leading payroll execution and international benefits administration across multiple countries — with a strategic emphasis on equity compensation and the integration of supportive payroll benefits technologies.
This role ensures payroll accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence across regions by leveraging modern platforms and automated workflows to streamline processes and improve data integrity. The specialist manages complex payroll functions including tax reporting, multi-currency processing, and cross-border compliance, while also supporting employee education and engagement around their total rewards.
A core focus of this role is administering and ensuring accurate payroll treatment of global equity programs such as RSUs, stock options. In addition, the specialist will support and coordinate payroll-related input for equity mobile / non-mobile employees, specific country setup such as Israel (ESOP) — ensuring all are accurately reflected in payroll and compliant with local laws.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that collaborates closely with Finance, Legal, Equity Administration, and HR teams globally. The ideal candidate combines deep technical payroll expertise with a strong understanding of international benefits, data privacy regulations, and emerging HR/payroll technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Acts as a first point of contact for incidents and new requirements towards the international payroll benefits.
Proactively identifies gaps in the payroll and benefits processes, designs & implements improvement plans.
Responsible for training and education of the international payroll team and key stakeholders on the impact and use of the international benefits.
Facilitates connects on a frequent basis across the regional payroll teams and with Compensation & Benefits team and Finance to continuously monitor process performance and data accuracy and address improvements
Coordinates international benefits for payroll and acts as a functional lead and decision maker to drive standardization across the regions.
Supports Comp&Ben in analyzing key payroll data and actively identifies and implements critical control steps to ensure accurate payroll results.
Is responsible for technology performance management, proactively involving global payroll leadership when required.
Communicating with core stakeholders on delivery timelines, risk and impact of incidents and enhancements
Oversees SOX audit on processed benefits for international payroll.
Owns access management within used platforms and ensures compliant execution of access
Provides in country process support for complex markets for accurate payroll execution when required
Knowledge.
Minimum 5+ years of experience working in an international Payroll/HR environment
Minimum of 3+ years of experience leading payroll benefits processes
Strong experience in vendor management
Proven record of leading/overseeing complex payroll process and benefits implementations
Strong experience in managing stakeholders at various levels within the organization
Experience with HR technologies (Workday, Office tools, Blackline)
Strong ability to communicate and present complex payroll topics in inspiring and engaging manner
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
