The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the governance and project management of initiatives within the Commercial Tooling team. The team is currently leading a big digital transformation project, migrating our internal CRM to a third party provider (Salesforce), and this will be the main focus of thai role.


The Senior Project Manager role is partnering with the various teams within the Commercial Operation and CoGO to support, and proactively work with them, to facilitate the work occurring between them and the business units and centralized functions they support. They help the teams to scope and plan the projects by helping to document the project goal, KPIs, roadmap and main deliverables.


The Senior Project Managers ensure that the projects of the Commercial Tooling team are managed in a consistent manner, whilst working with the business units & central functions within Booking.com to build engagement and where needed governance over decisions needed for work to be signed off. The role requires dealing with external vendors and managing external stakeholders.


The Senior Project Manager also helps the different teams to mitigate the project risks and dependencies to make sure there is progress towards the project's milestones. First and foremost, the Senior Project Manager ensures the team's roadmaps/plans focus on agreed business priorities, dependencies and strategies – designed based on data and business needs, and deliver against the shared objectives & goals.




Key Responsibilities.


  • List a series of brief statements that describe the main results of the job. These statements should describe the key activities of the job, why these key activities are performed and with what outcome..


  • The purpose of this section is that you indicate What is done, to Whom / What, with What Outcome, and with What Type of Guidance.



  • Try breaking the job down into a number of key results and then construct responsibility statements for each of these. These should not be more than 8-10 statements. Focus on responsibilities that require at least 10% of the job incumbent’s time. Document the responsibilities that exist at the present time.



  • Eg. Prepares and monitors (What is done) the annual budget (to Whom / What), in alignment with the Department Policies (Type of Guidance), in order to ensure compliance with Group’s targets (with What Outcome).




Responsibility


  • Apply structured methodology to and lead project/change management activities


  • Lead independently projects with global impact (cross-functional) driving them through execution, analysis, recommendation and implementation


  • Drive the Project scoping and Planning by helping to document the project goal, KPIs, roadmap and main deliverables


  • Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels inside and outside of the organization: work collaboratively with business unit partners and corporate support teams to drive enterprise strategy execution and partner on segment or functional strategy projects


  • Communicate project insights and recommendations across all stakeholders


  • Track and report progress; Creates clear planning documents together with involved departments


  • Ensure a project closing and correct handover to Business as usual


Requirements of special knowledge/skills


  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor degree


  • Effectively communicate in small/medium groups; Strong influencer in 1:1 and small groups


  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations and under pressure


  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics


  • With limited supervision, ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to drive decision making


  • Strategic thinking, able to contribute to long term vision


  • Strong Problem solving and root cause identification skills


  • Basic business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges


  • Experience with large-scale digital transformation changes is an advantage


  • Knowledge of similar industries and/or business projects is an advantage. Specifically familiarity with Salesforce.


  • PMP or Agile Project Management or equivalent certification is preferred.
