Booking.com is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) Consultant for a 6-month full-time engagement. This is a hands-on technical SME role focused on rapidly maturing our SAM Pro capability, improving compliance accuracy, and driving cost optimisation.




Scope of Work


  • Implement, configure, and optimise ServiceNow SAM Pro.



  • Build and maintain software models, entitlements, reconciliation rules, and reclamation workflows.



  • Configure and tune publisher packs (Microsoft, Google, MIRO, Adobe, SNow, SAP).



  • Improve data quality across Discovery, CMDB, Intune, SCCM, JAMF, and ACC.



  • Deliver compliance positions, audit-ready reporting, and optimisation insights.



  • Define SAM governance, processes, and operational workflows.



  • Provide structured knowledge transfer to internal Booking.com teams.




Required Profile


  • 5+ years implementing or operating ServiceNow SAM Pro in large enterprises.



  • Deep expertise in software licensing, audit processes, and reconciliation logic.



  • Practical experience with major publishers (Microsoft, Google, MIRO, Adobe).



  • Strong understanding of CMDB, Discovery, CSDM, and integration dependencies.



  • Able to work autonomously and deliver outcomes at pace.



  • Deliverables (within 6 months)


  • Operational SAM Pro configuration for priority publishers.



  • Accurate compliance & optimisation reporting.



  • License reclamation workflows and cost-saving actions.



  • SAM governance framework and process documentation.



  • Full knowledge transfer and handover plan



  • Integration alignment with Productive (Tactical SAM solution).



The hourly rate for independent contractors is between 50-120 EUR.
