At Booking.com, data drives our decisions. Technology is at our core. We build products, platforms and processes that help our partners and travellers experience the world with less friction.

Within Finance, Partner Master Data is critical for billing, partner payout, tax reporting, compliance and operational continuity. We are building a Data Quality Platform to help teams detect, prioritize, route and resolve partner master data issues across systems such as Partner Extranet, Data Lake, SAP S/4 and related finance platforms. The platform is expected to support triage worklists, business-impact-based prioritization, error-code mapping, resolution paths, alerts, Jira integration, Slack notifications and future ServiceNow integration.

As a Technical Product Manager, you will drive the product delivery of this platform from discovery through MVP and phased rollout. You will work closely with Finance Master Data, Data Governance, Billing Ops, Payment Ops, SAP, Extranet, engineering, and finance leadership stakeholders to convert business problems into clear product capabilities, functional specifications, technical requirements, Jira-ready backlog items and measurable outcomes.

This role requires a strong mix of product ownership, data quality understanding, technical fluency and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate can understand cross-system data flows, define platform behaviour, challenge unclear requirements, support solution design, and help engineering teams build scalable, usable and high-impact capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the Data Quality Platform roadmap, backlog, MVP scope, release priorities and delivery plan.

  • Translate business problems into clear product capabilities, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria and Jira-ready requirements.

  • Act as the bridge between business teams, data owners, system owners, engineering, UX and leadership stakeholders.

  • Define how the platform should detect, group, prioritize, route and track data quality and operational issues across systems.

  • Create requirements for triage worklists, issue detail views, drill-downs, case management, owner assignment, status tracking and closure reporting.

  • Define issue prioritization logic based on business impact, operational risk, affected volume, ageing, SLA breach, regulatory sensitivity and process criticality.

  • Translate system errors, data exceptions and operational failures into issue patterns, resolution paths, action steps, ownership rules, alerting logic and escalation paths.

  • Support solution design for platform foundations such as data ingestion, reconciliation logic, reference data, workflow integrations, reporting and access control.

  • Define expected behaviour for integrations with enterprise tools such as Jira, Slack, service-management platforms, reporting tools and downstream operational systems.

  • Support workshops, technical discovery, backlog refinement, UAT, defect triage, business sign-off, release readiness and documentation of key product decisions.

Skills:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, Data Product Manager, Functional Consultant or similar role in enterprise platform delivery.

  • Strong experience owning product backlogs, roadmaps, user stories, acceptance criteria, release scope and delivery priorities.

  • Strong experience creating functional specifications, process flows, data mapping documents, technical requirements and UAT scenarios.

  • Good understanding of data quality, master data management, exception management, reconciliation, operational controls or data governance.

  • Ability to understand cross-system data flows and explain how upstream data issues can create downstream business, financial or operational impact.

  • Experience working with enterprise systems, APIs, data pipelines, workflow tools, ticketing systems, reporting platforms or integration platforms.

  • Strong ability to convert technical errors, data issues and system behaviours into business-readable issue descriptions, action steps and resolution paths.

  • Ability to work closely with engineering and UX teams to clarify requirements, validate solution design and ensure the product supports real operational needs.

  • Experience supporting UAT, defect triage, release readiness, business sign-off and post-release feedback.

  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills, with a structured, collaborative and result-oriented mindset.

  • Preferred experience:

  • Experience with finance, ERP, billing, invoicing, payouts, collections, tax reporting, partner lifecycle or master data processes is preferred.

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Integrations, Jira, Slack, ServiceNow, Tableau or similar platforms is a plus.

  • Basic SQL knowledge or ability to review data extracts, reconciliation outputs and data quality rules is preferred.

  • Experience in regulated, audit-sensitive or SOX-controlled finance environments is a plus.

  • Experience working with distributed engineering or delivery teams across Amsterdam, India and other locations is preferred.
