—This is a 5-month contract. The pay rate for this position is 42 - 105 EUR per hour—




In this hybrid role, the researcher will handle an end-to-end research program for the UX craft, which will include recruiting local research participants (using our internal recruitment tools and resources), preparing interview guides based on stakeholder briefs, conducting interviews, and running debrief sessions with key product stakeholders. They also write top-line reports for each round of research, with guidance from research partners. The researcher demonstrates critical thinking beyond business requests. They operate independently in all operational research tasks and lead core end-to-end research activities - including driving research objectives, hypotheses, methodology, execution, analysis, and communication.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct full-cycle research: Independently execute research activities from recruitment to reporting, ensuring alignment with product and stakeholder needs.


  • Deliver impactful business insights: Create research activities and insights focused on answering key business questions that drive product value and strategic decision-making.


  • Foster cross-functional collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments, tailoring insights for varied audiences to ensure shared understanding and actionable outcomes.



Research Skills:


  • Shows good judgement when evaluating research opportunities, e.g., figures out importance, vitality, and impact for the team.

  • Reasonably challenges details of inbound research requests and proposes confirmed research solutions.

  • Exhibits research excellence by driving projects with existing skills while constantly expanding their breadth and depth of abilities.

  • Integrates knowledge of approaches for both quantitative and qualitative research.

  • Effectively triangulates findings, methods, and theories with others.

  • Improves the value and efficiency of research by applying internal and external secondary research and expert inspection methods.

  • Adopts and adapts well-established methods according to product/project situations and innovates new methods in collaboration with more senior researchers.

  • Knows or can quickly learn key software tools common in the field (e.g., for surveys, diary studies, analysis).

  • Applies knowledge of data compliance and ethics in all of their activities.

Requirements of special knowledge/skills:


  • Proven research design fundamentals

  • Data collection and analysis

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience. Or a PhD or equivalent experience or an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a field focused on research with human subjects (e.g., HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Sociology, etc) or similar background would be expected.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience
