Change Manager Build & Run (Tech Enablement)

Role Summary

We are hiring for a Change Manager to drive adoption within our Tech Enablement Program, specifically focusing on the Build & Run pillar. The primary goal is to drive the successful adoption of changes to our Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) that are intended to eliminate engineering friction and increase automation.

We are looking for a pragmatic and experienced change manager who will need to hit the ground running. You should be able to bring immediate order and structure to complex initiatives by applying change management frameworks in a way that enables delivery rather than creating administrative bottlenecks. This role requires an experienced practitioner who can navigate high-scale technical transformations and manage complex stakeholder environments without becoming overly process-driven.

Core Focus: Build & Run

  • The Change Manager will support initiatives designed to:

  • Eliminate engineering friction and reduce the effort required to run/maintain systems.

  • Increase change frequency through automation.

  • Ensure delivery environments are consistent, scalable, and highly automated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scale at speed: Design an engagement model that scales initiatives to reach 1000s of developers (to include initiatives that are pre-defined as well as initiatives that are created bottom-up).

  • Incubator & Community Engagement: Engage and enable "Incubator" group and champions, empowering them to act as multipliers to support and scale adoption.

  • Stakeholder Influence: Act as a trusted advisor to Senior Directors and VPs, gaining buy-in for change strategies and ensuring alignment across technical leadership.

  • Agile & Innovation Culture: Drive a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing by applying Agile principles to the change process itself. Focus on driving mindset, behavior and process shifts regarding new SDLC tools and workflows.

  • Technical Storytelling: Translate complex technical/strategic SDLC information into compelling, simple narratives. Coach technical owners to deliver engaging messages to the developer community.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Build & Run TPM’s, Leadership and Tech Enablement Change & comms manager to ensure a cohesive experience for the engineering community.

Requirements

  • Experience: 8–10 years of change management experience, with a proven track record in large-scale organizational transformations.

  • Execution Mindset: Proven ability to "hit the ground running" in fast-paced environments, with a strong bias for action and delivery.

  • Pragmatic Approach: Ability to provide structure to "messy" or ambiguous projects without becoming overly focused on theoretical process or documentation.

  • Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead multiple change initiatives independently. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence leadership.

  • Ambiguity Management: Comfortable functioning in an environment with high ambiguity and complex, sometimes slow, decision-making processes.

  • Data Literacy: Ability to master data and insights to tell a clear story and drive executive decision-making.

  • Technical Domain Knowledge: Understanding of technology environments, specifically Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC), automation, and engineering friction concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-native delivery environments or DevOps transformations.

  • Background in managing change for large-scale engineering populations (1000+ developers).
