Please note, this is a 10-month assignment for freelancers, 1-2 days/week office presence is required.


We are seeking a certified Concur Expense Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support and optimize our global Travel & Expense (T&E) and Corporate Card programs. This role will work across the organization, ensuring compliance, automation, and efficiency in our Concur Expense, Travel, and Card programs. The role will drive process improvements, implement automation, and enhance user experience while ensuring adherence to global compliance and financial controls.



Tasks & Responsibilities



1. Concur Configuration & Implementation



  • The SME will leverage Concur configuration expertise to maintain and enhance system functionality, optimize integrations with platforms like Workday and SAP.

  • Maintain Concur Advanced Configuration certification to access full Concur Expense configuration across the company.

  • Maintain and configure Concur Travel Allowances (per diems) and Mileage for multiple countries.

  • Manage Concur Policies, Workflows, Expense Types, Audit Rules, and Localization settings.

  • Implement and enhance Central Billed Statements (CBS) for P-Card processing.

  • Support Concur Travel platform, assist with travel policy/process, and manage integrations with TMCs and OBT providers.

  • Support integration of new acquisitions into the company’s Concur ecosystem.

  • Optimize Concur integrations with Workday, SAP, and lead process improvement initiatives.

  • Implement automation for monitoring and reporting on system interfaces, reducing manual interventions.


2. Compliance & Risk Management



  • Support system audits, implement workflow enhancements, and ensure compliance.


  • Update and maintain global Expense, Travel, and Corporate Card policies.


  • Support SOX controls ensuring compliance with financial regulations.


  • Develop end-user resources, including Internal knowledge pages, FAQs, trainings and user guides for Travel, Expense, and Cards.


  • Will be responsible for effective User Access Management and Review, ensuring proper Segregation of Duties (SOD).


  • Manage country-specific Concur services.



3. Corporate Card Program Management



  • Lead the implementation and management of Corporate Card programs.


  • Oversee credit card data feed integrations in Concur, including T&E, P-Card and lodge card programs.



4. Reporting & Data Analytics



  • Utilize Concur Intelligence for advanced reporting, including data verification, automation, and stakeholder distribution.


  • Provide actionable insights on travel, expense, and corporate card data to management.


  • Identify and highlight process inefficiencies using Concur’s reporting tools.



Required Education, Qualifications & Experience



Education & Certifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.


  • SAP Certificate Administrator Professional - Concur Professional Expense with advanced configuration expertise.


  • LSS and Project Management Certification is a plus.



Experience:



  • Minimum 10 years of experience in shared services, procure-to-pay, or corporate finance roles in large multinational companies.


  • Extensive hands-on experience with Concur Expense, Travel, and Corporate Card programs (T&E, P-Card, Lodge card).


  • Proven track record of process automation, policy standardization, and cost optimization in a global environment.


  • Experience working in rapid-growth, M&A, and transformation scenarios.


  • Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, risk management, and financial controls.


  • Experience managing vendor relationships.



Skills & Competencies:



  • Advanced Concur configuration knowledge, including Workflows, Audit Rules, and Localization.


  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in Concur Intelligence reporting.


  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization.


  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.


  • Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.


  • Ability to manage global projects, integrations, and change management initiatives.
