Ivalua Specialist (For independent contractors)
Please note this is a 6 month-long assignment for freelancers.
The Financial Systems team within the FinTech business unit at Booking.com provides technical expertise to the finance department. They support and innovate SAP ERP/S4HANA, SAP BI, Native HANA solutions, and various connected external systems such as Ivalua, Conga, and Blackline. The team aims to simplify business processes and enhance financial integrations and insights.
As an Ivalua Specialist, you will design and implement solutions for new finance initiatives, optimize Ivalua operations, and set up or modify functionalities to improve processes. Your role involves translating business requirements into system configurations, developing design documents, and participating in configuration, testing, and deployment. You will collaborate with business owners and digital teams to identify improvement opportunities and propose solutions. A strong understanding of S2C, P2P processes and integration with legacy systems is essential, along with excellent communication skills in English. The role requires adaptability to evolving tasks and responsibilities due to the organization's rapid growth, with opportunities for professional development and additional challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive product roadmap ideas, validation, and data preparation together with the Product Manager (PM).
Lead quarterly R&D upgrades and bi-yearly product version upgrades.
Be responsible for the Ivalua landscape.
Design, configure, and deliver new features as per the product roadmap.
Lead Ivalua integration solution support issues and enhancements, acting as the point of contact with the Integration team.
Ensure product and technical alignment regarding Ivalua environments, upgrade communication, and product initiatives impacting the Morpheus branch.
Provide L2/L3 Business As Usual (BAU) support, delivering enhancements and critical bug fixes.
Support audit inquiries for both Ivalua Information Technology General Controls (ITGC) and Business Controls.
Take full ownership of projects and quality of changes, from planning, communication, coordination, compliance aspects, customization, and go-live hypercare.
Apply analytical thinking to provide scalable and innovative solutions.
Make fast decisions in a dynamic environment with some level of uncertainty.
Contribute to the identification of opportunities to improve project delivery and/or development methodologies.
Actively help less experienced team members with their craft and set good examples leveraging engineering best practices.
Train key users and provide key user support, analyzing issues and changes.
Provide day-to-day support and incident resolution.
Requirements of special knowledge/skills:
3-5 years of hands-on experience with Ivalua, including solution configuration and working with SQL.
L3 Ivalua Certification in Integration (API, EAI, ETL) is mandatory.
L3 Ivalua Certification in both S2C (Source to Contract) and P2P (Procure to Pay) is mandatory.
Advanced proficiency in SQL is required.
At least one full cycle of Ivalua implementation experience, preferably with integrations to SAP.
Functional experience and end-to-end knowledge in sourcing, contracting, SRM (Supplier Relationship Management), purchasing, GR/IR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt), and/or invoicing.
Experience in maintaining a live Ivalua Buyer solution with working integrations.
Familiarity with various integration solutions such as SFTP, FTPS, AS2, APIs, SOAP, REST, Web Services, CSV, XML, CXML, EDI, and JSON.
Proven experience with the Ivalua PBI (Procurement Business Intelligence) module is advantageous.
Experience with Ivalua integrations with SAP ECC and/or SAP S4 is an advantage.
Experience with SAP MM (Materials Management) and SAP Vendor Invoice Management is an advantage.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong skills in collecting business requirements and translating them to technical consultants, including hands-on experience in preparing functional and technical specifications and conducting testing, including UAT.
Strategic thinking with the ability to balance mid-term objectives with short-term tactics and goals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Organized, flexible, proactive, and result-oriented.
