About Us

At Booking.com, we're embarking on an ambitious company-wide transformation, Agile@Booking, designed to accelerate innovation, harmonize our ways of working, and empower every team and leader to unlock their full potential. Our goal is to make fast, confident, and sustainable value delivery a core organizational capability, directly supporting our Future Fit ambition. Through Agile@Booking, we're building an aligned way of working that emphasizes transparency, continuous improvement, and psychological safety, breaking down silos to create a more unified, collaborative workplace. By shifting decision-making closer to the work and giving teams more ownership, we aim to foster a culture of decentralized decisions, increased speed, and greater innovation.

Context

Agile@Booking is about becoming One Team, uniting leadership and teams across Booking.com through shared values, synchronized practices, and a relentless focus on learning and adaptation. Our transformation program focuses on enabling both leaders and teams to thrive in complex environments by prioritizing outcomes over processes, empowering people at all levels, and advancing psychological safety and transparency. The Organizational Transformation Coach will play a pivotal role in driving this journey: building leadership capabilities, removing barriers, from creating the engagement at the top and activating real change, driving results, and enabling Booking.com to live its values. Ultimately, the Organizational Transformation Coach is leading the transformation on business unit or department level, covering tens of senior leaders and a multitude of teams at once, which is a challenging and substantial scope. We are looking for seasoned leaders who have been at the forefront of similar transformations at other companies comparable in size or complexity.

Role Description

The Organizational Transformation Coach is a trusted senior advisor who drives meaningful, hands-on change across all organisational levels—including C-level, the Extended Leadership Team (ELT), and broader organizational groups. This role calls for an impact-driven leader with outstanding change management and transformation experience, whose proven record demonstrates tangible results rather than theoretical expertise.

You will work closely with the Transformation Program team, Change Leads, and Agile Coaches to create alignment between strategic intent and team-level execution—bridging gaps between senior leadership and team contexts. The environment is dynamic, ambitious, and outcome-focused and we expect you to be both comfortable and skilled at interacting with C-level Executives, SVPs, and Change Leads to drive the agenda of the program in close alignment with the big picture at Booking.com.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Own the change and make impact: Lead and own large-scale transformation efforts with a hands-on approach. Guide senior executives through transition using experience-backed techniques producing quantifiable results.

  • Change management leadership: Prioritize comprehensive change/transformation management strategies and experience above specific agile frameworks and theory, using proven expertise to engage stakeholders at every level.

  • Build executive trust and rapport: Rapidly foster psychological safety and confidence with senior leadership. Your ability to connect is grounded in empathy, emotional intelligence, and preferably first-hand experience in senior leadership roles yourself.

  • Bridge senior and team contexts: Understand team-level dynamics as well as the needs and pressures faced by executive leaders. Translate and align visions, enabling buy-in and synergy across all layers.

  • Pragmatic/adaptive frameworks: Apply agile, lean, and transformation frameworks pragmatically—adapting principles and materials to Booking.com’s context and current program, rather than advocating for personal methodologies or rigid approaches. Focus is on success within our environment; your flexibility and openness are key.

  • Co-create transformation roadmaps: Collaborate on the ongoing transformation strategy, aligning leadership actions and team initiatives with the business objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 12+ years’ relevant experience, especially in change/transformation management roles with clear, demonstrated impact

  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale (agile) transformations within complex, global organizations (5,000+ FTE).

  • Demonstrable ability to analyze complex, systemic issues, craft solutions backed by data and evidence, and articulate a clear strategic path through compelling presentations to executive leadership.

  • Mastery in building trust and exploring problem spaces with C-level executives and VPs—whether as their peer or advisor

  • Ability to bridge strategic and operational realities, translating leadership vision into actionable team outcomes

  • Deep familiarity with agile, lean, and systemic change frameworks, applying them in a context-sensitive, pragmatic manner

  • Strong facilitation, influence, and stakeholder management skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
