Job Description:
The Team
The CBO Office is responsible for leading business operations (annual and quarterly planning and governance/rhythm of the business), program management and change management for the CBO organization. This team reports to the Chief Business Officer (via the Senior Director, a member of the CBO LT) and works with (senior) leadership across the organization, both in CBO and in Booking’s corporate functions (People/HR, Finance, Legal, and Corporate Strategy), to enable Booking.com to achieve its strategic and operational goals.
CBO: All departments at Booking.com except the corporate functions. CBO includes Accommodations, Trips, Marketplace, Marketing, FinTech, Central Tech, Customer Services and US Growth.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager, CBO Office you will report to the Director Program Management. Your primary focus will be leading community activities across all of the SBOPC (Strategy, Business Operations, Program Management and Change Management) craft at Booking.com. This includes developing and executing the community plans (for the overall craft and for each of the pillars), managing the cadence of (recurring) meetings with key stakeholders and leading the organization and delivery of community events (e.g. All Hands and summits). Your main stakeholders are the craft pillar leaders (Directors), volunteers from the community and enabling teams like Learning & Development.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Community Plans
Develop: Lead the development of the (annual) community plans for the overall craft (SBOPC) and for each of the pillars (Business Operations, Program Management, Change Management) on behalf of the pillar leads (working closely with them).
Execute: Ensure the community plans are being supported by volunteers from the community and the plans are executed timely with high quality, delivering the expected impact;
Measure: Define objectives and success metrics and monitor and report progress towards achieving them.
Meetings & Events
Meetings: Organize, prepare and host all meetings relevant to develop and execute the community plans. This includes facilitating recurring meetings with pillar leads, community volunteers and other stakeholders.
Events: Lead the preparation and delivery of community events (overall craft and per pillar), e.g. quarterly All Hands and (bi)annual Summits. This includes leading development of the agenda, content gathering/creation, speaker selection and facilitation and handling logistics.
Experience & Skills:
Project Management
Experience leading the development and execution of project plans, preferably people-related/focused projects (e.g. community building and activation);
Strong planning and organization skills and passionate about bringing structure and guidance;
Comfortable and experienced tracking and following up on the timely delivery of actions (across all levels of stakeholders).
Stakeholder Management
Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders up to and including leadership (ELT: Directors and above), including influencing them;
Not afraid to hold stakeholders accountable for delivering.
Event Management
Experience organizing, leading and hosting small/medium scale events (up to 250 attendees). This includes supporting the administrative process as needed (e.g. PO creation);
Good presentation skills and able to host panel sessions with (senior) leaders;
Not afraid to be on stage in front of an audience (in-person and virtual/remote).
Communications
Effective communicator (written and spoken), able to craft compelling, engaging, crisp and clear messaging tailored for different audiences. This includes building decks and drafting mails and (Slack) posts which are strong on content and format.

Location:
The candidate for this role has to be based in The Netherlands (no relocation support is provided). This is a hybrid role with an expectation of being (at least) 40% of your time in-office in Amsterdam.
